I’ve been a Photographer for more than 30 years.
The usual story started off with an instamatic when I was still in short
pants in the UK and progressed through to the modern new age digital
wiz-bang miracle machines we have today.
It is very important if you are serious about
providing the best possible service that you have the best possible
equipment. These days that means upgrading almost annually as new and
improved product comes to the market. I’ve always been an early adopter
which in photography is a costly exercise. Right now, professional
grade equipment capability is leap-frogging from one level of excellence to
the next in a matter of months. With equipment depreciation set at about
two years the cost amortisation on a monthly basis is extreme and
residual values are very low, so one has to make enough money in this
profession or retire.
Regardless of this fact it is the technology of digital
photography and the release from the limitations of the dark room that
has seen me return to photography as an art form in earnest after many
years. Its immediacy is breathtaking; at sporting events I shoot one
moment and literally send my customers home with a framed
moment of passion the next.
“Tomorrow - today’s thrill is yesterdays fading memory
that is forgotten in the imagining of another tomorrows adventure”.
Don’t ask me who said it, but it’s so true!!
My aim is to provide my customers with images that
capture the moment or the mood and to let them have it now! I like
action and that is why I do so much work in Motor Sport, Competitive
Equestrian and Cycling events. At these events I provide prints on the
spot from photo quality printers (At outdoor events I even take my own
shelter and generator when needed). If customers want Pro-Lab processing
that’s fine too but it will take a couple of days.
I’ve provided portraits and wedding shots and covered parties and social events all of which help to pay
the bills. My passion is night and landscape photography and when I find
time and the right weather I can be found all rugged up in dark country
locations capturing that special shot.
Anyway, enough from me I hope you enjoy the images on my
web page and I encourage you to come back soon as I update my site every
month, sometimes it's a small change sometimes a bigger effort. This web site will be
continuously updated with photos for sale from events and sample
photos as time allows. My stock photos are available from
